UI - That part of a computer program, application, or machine that is concerned with interacting with a human user. Some examples of user interfaces include GUIs, command line interfaces, telephone keypads and displays, and steering wheels on cars.

User interfaces to computers are sometimes referred to as human-computer interfaces. Also, in some older military applications the user interface may be referred to as a Man Machine Interface.
