A method of delivering QoS on TCP data networks: This technique modifies the TCP window size to control the rate at which hosts will transmit TCP-based traffic. When the host believes the TCP window is full, it will pause its transmission of data.
The technique is generally only useful in connection based applications. VoIP, for example, would not benefit from this method.
