The RJ-48C is an eight-position plug with four wires (two for transmit, two for receive), commonly connected for delivering T1 services to your CPE. When the phone company delivers T1 to your offices, it usually terminates its T1 circuit on an RJ-48C. In turn, it expects you to connect that RJ-48C to your phone system or T1 channel bank and then to your phone system
