Adding images on Creativyst Glossary?   (Date posted: 03/13/08 at 12:30:14) Quote Modify Delete

I have a glossary with about 20,000 images. Is there any easy way to upload all these files to my server and display the corresponding image by searching it with the file name from the Creativyst Glossary? If it is possible, please let me know, I'll definitely buy the Creativyst Glossary!!

Thanks a lot for any help!

Gladiolus,

Hi.

Yes. You can simply upload all your images into a www directory and then refer to them by name in the text of your definitions.

For example, in the definition text for a widget you could do something like this:

. . . . . . .

A widget is a virtual product that is the only thing MBAs learn how to produce while in school.

Here is what a widget looks like:

[br]a widget

. . . . . . .

Some other things you need to be aware of: You need a web-server that does htaccess style security and you need to understand and have access to those facilities.

Hi Djr,
Thank you so much for your reply. I was able to upload the dictionary with a very simple php script. Please have a look at it: http://www.bdwebguide.com/bengalidictionary.htm and let me know if you find any security problems. As a newbie I am not much aware of the security issues!

Best,
Glad

Hi Glad,

That's not my Glossary.

Creativyst® Glossary is available from this page. You can see this site's glossary running on it in frames mode, or in non-frames mode.

This one you've found looks nice though. I looked up the English word: "hello". It also must do graphics in similar fashion to mine, which is lucky.
