JSMFeed Speed! (Date posted: 05/04/07 at 23:37:04)
I wanted to know how to alter the speed of the JSMFeed scroller. I know that I'm able to change the speed once it gets on going. But the problem with that is slowing the speed down too much makes the scroller take too long to load. Once the speed gets going then it's okay but before that it totally sucks.
I'm basically looking for a way for the scroller to start scrolling instantly, but then once it gets going to have it scroll at a slower speed (maybe every 10-15 seconds). Any ideas?

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give an example?
Creativyst does provide four example scrollers that interface to JSMsg feeds. Each of those have timing variables that allow you to adjust a variety of times involved in the display of information. In each case, these are described in comments in the scroller.

Oh! You're saying it waits the set pause delay before displaying the first message. Since your message pause delay is set to 15 seconds per a message, it takes 15 seconds before the first one appears. I hadn't noticed that in the past, but during testing I may have avoided long message pause delays (these example scrollers are quick and dirty). I'll be happy to take a look at the code as soon as I get some extra time.
Do you have a link to a test page that has your scroller running to show this?
