Is it just me? I'm using the JSMfeed.pl file and i'm scrollling RSS on my site's homepage now (very cool btw) but the problem I'm facing is that when text scrolls to the top and fades out the incoming text appears for an instant before it scrolls to the top.

It's nothing major, but i wanted to know if it was anything I could fix.

suleiman,

It sounds like something I need to fix

Some questions to help recreate the problem:

Scroller: Based on your description it is the Ballistic scroller, is this correct?

Browser: Which browser is the problem showing up in?

Time Frame: Do you have the latest scroller/fader code?

Others: Do the examples of the same scroller here do the same thing when you look at them in your browser?

Let me know.

I am indeed using the ballistic scroller.

The browser with the problem is FireFox

As far as I can tell I do have the latest scroller/fader code.

The example you linked to does have the same problem in FireFox.

Oh yeah. There it is.

I don't know why I never noticed that before.

I'll get it in the queue to be fixed and reply here (so you'll get e-mail notification) when I get time to work on it. It may be a while before I can get to this, but at least I know there's a problem in there now, thanks to you. Good find.

Ballistic Scroller Fix   (Date posted: 03/05/07 at 10:12:12) Quote Modify Delete

Hi,

give the fix a try.

The code for it is now up on the ballistic scroller download page

Need a favor...

Could you change the title of your top message in the thread to something like "ballistic scroller hiccup" to reflect that this is a problem with a scroller and not with the fader? It might help make things a little less confusing for future searchers.

Thanks if you can.
