A browser is a computer program that allows a person to read hypertext, such as web pages written in HTML. The browser gives some means of viewing the contents of pages (or "nodes") and of navigating from one page to another.
Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, NCSA Mosaic, Lynx, and W3 are some examples for browsers for the World-Wide Web. They act as clients to remote web servers. You are probably using a browser to read this right now.
