Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum - A commonly used method of spread spectrum radio data transmission which transmits small chunks or packets of data over a wide number of different frequencies. It hops from frequency to frequency in a predicable but non-sequential pattern. It transmits one packet of data on each hop.

FHSS is one of two types of spread spectrum radio transmission techniques. The other is DSSS or Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum
